This Privacy Policy explains how Routey Inc. (“Routey”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit getroutey.com, use the Routey application at app.getroutey.com, or interact with a business that uses Routey.
1.1 When we decide how information is used. For website visitors, people who request a demo or contact us, and the account holders and managers of our business customers, Routey is the organization responsible for the personal information described in this Policy.
1.2 When we act for a business customer. Businesses (“Customers”) use Routey to plan and dispatch their own work. In doing so they enter or collect information about their drivers and field workers (“Workers”) and about the people who receive their deliveries or services (“Recipients”). The Customer decides what is collected and why. Routey processes that information only on the Customer's behalf, as its service provider, under our Terms of Service.
1.3 If you are a Worker or a Recipient, the business you work for or ordered from is responsible for your information. Please contact that business first with questions or requests. If you contact us, we will pass your request to the Customer and help it respond.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use Worker or Recipient information for advertising. We may use aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify any person, such as travel-time statistics, to improve the Service.
4.1 The driver app collects a Worker's device location only when the Customer has enabled location features, the Worker has granted location permission on the device, and the Worker is on duty in the app. A Worker can withdraw the device permission at any time in the device settings, although the employer may require it for work.
4.2 Location is used to show the Worker's position to the Customer's Managers, to estimate arrival times, to re-plan remaining routes and, where the Customer enables tracking links, to show limited progress information to the Recipient of that specific order.
4.3 The Customer is responsible for telling its Workers about this monitoring and for obtaining any consent the law requires.
We rely on your consent, express or implied depending on the circumstances and the sensitivity of the information, or on another basis permitted by law. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide some services.

6.2 The Customer. Information about Workers and Recipients is visible to the Customer that entered or collected it, and to the Managers it authorizes.
6.3 Recipients. Where a Customer enables tracking links, the Recipient of an order can see that order's status, estimated arrival and limited Worker location for that delivery.
6.4 Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law, court order or lawful request, or where needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Routey, our Customers or others.
6.5 Business transfers. If Routey is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to confidentiality protections and applicable law.
6.6 Advertising partners. On our website we use advertising tools from third-party advertising platforms, only if you agree to marketing cookies. Through them, these platforms receive cookie identifiers and details of your visit. They may combine these with other information they hold about you and use it under their own privacy policies.
6.7 Other websites. Our website and Service may link to websites and services we do not operate. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Please read their policies before you use them.
Our service providers store and process information in Canada, the United States and other countries where they operate. Information held outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. We use contracts and other measures to require a comparable level of protection.
8.1 Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage.
8.2 We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies in the Routey application. When you sign up, the application reads one first-party cookie set on getroutey.com (routey_attr), which exists only if you agreed to marketing cookies on our website, and saves the ad or campaign it records with your account. The application sends nothing to advertising partners.
